Through funding awarded from the Prosper Portland Reimagine Oregon Economic Opportunity Investment Fund, The Black Business Association of Oregon is offering $2,000 grants for 5 businesses to attend a tax preparation program. The program will provide participants with the knowledge about the mandatory records needed to ensure compliance when filing business taxes. Businesses that sucessfully complete the program will be awarded $2,000 grants. $1,000 to go towards the cost of filing current or deliquent business taxes and $1,000 to help pay any current or deliquent business taxes.
The program will be moderated by Diane Hailey who is the Founder and CEO of Upstart Accounting, a bookkeeping and strategic financial planning firm.
To be eligible to apply for the tax preparation program, businesses must be located and operating in Portland, Oregon.
